IT University is a hub for collaboration within ITC and related fields in the Gothenburg region. IT University provides an overview of new and existing collaboration between academia, industry and society.

Collaboration within ITC and related fields at Lindholmen:

Lindholmen is Gothenburg's most knowledge intensive and expansive area. Today more than 21 000 people are working, studying or living in the Lindholmen area. 

  • Closer

    Closer is the Swedish arena for research, development and innovation within transport efficiency. The arena is a part of Lindholmen Science Park AB. We offer a neutral innovation and demonstration environment for collaboration between industry, academy and public sector.
  • Lindholmen Science Park

    Lindholmen Science Park is an international collaborative environment for research, innovation and education within the areas Transport, ICT and Media. Lindholmen Science Park offers a neutral development environment where industry, academy and public sector can run research and development projects.
  • Media Arena Lindholmen

    Media Arena Lindholmen is a programme within Lindholmen Science Park that supports and stimulates the development of the media industry with a focus on film, TV, gaming and news media. Through project funding, seminars, workshops and collaborations, we strengthen the business environment and create growing industries.
  • Security Arena Lindholmen

    National arena for research and development in civil security with the aim of developing new or improved capabilities within the Swedish crisis management system. The projects are conducted in broad collaboration between industry, university and government.
  • SCDI

    Swedish Center for Digital Innovation is a research center consisting of scholars from Chalmers University of Technology, University of Gothenburg, and Umeå University, which offers a unique context for orchestrating close collaboration between researchers, students, and practitioners to help address challenges in practice and advance new theory.
  • Safer

    SAFER Vehicle and Traffic Safety Centre at Chalmers is a competence centre where 34 partners from the Swedish automotive industry, academia and authorities cooperate to make a centre of excellence within the field of vehicle and traffic safety.
  • Software Center

    In Software Center, companies and universities work together to accelerate the adoption of novel approaches to software engineering. The cooperation between academia and companies creates the software engineering success stories that the Swedish and Nordic industry needs.
  • Test Site Sweden

    Neutral arena for cooperation within vehicle, transportation and environmental engineering. Test Site Sweden initiates and develops test and demonstration environments for vehicles in order to support the development of sustainable transport. The centre is also a partner of the Vinnova program testbeds in environmental engineering.

    URBSEC, Urban Safety and Societal Security Research Center, works with societal challenges within the security and safety field. URBSEC offers an interface between practice and academia where needs and problems as experienced by various social actors can be transformed into research and innovation.
  • Visual Arena Lindholmen

    Neutral environment to support innovative development projects through the use of visualization. We run visualization networks, offer interactive meeting places and can demonstrate the latest visualization technology at our studio at Lindholmen Science Park.
  • Visual Arena Research

    Visualiseringscentrum vid Chalmers, Göteborgs universitet och Sahlgrenska universitetssjukhuset. Syftet är att skapa akademiskt mervärde genom att knyta ihop forskargrupper och existerande och framtida fysiska arenor, hjälpa olika parter att hitta rätt kompetens inom visualisering, utgöra en ingång för medierapportering från området samt att kommunicera forskningsresultat.
